As part of an ongoing national initiative to honour the martyrs of the Armed Forces and instill patriotism among citizens, an All India Open Online Painting Competition<\/strong> was organized from 1st July to 26th July 2019<\/strong>. This event was held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas<\/strong>, a day that celebrates India\u2019s historic victory in the Kargil War of 1999 and salutes the unmatched bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n

The competition was conceived with the primary goal of creating widespread awareness about the valour of the Indian Armed Forces and the supreme sacrifices made by soldiers during the Kargil conflict. It aimed to engage people, especially the youth, in a creative and reflective manner, encouraging them to connect deeply with the spirit of patriotism and gratitude toward the nation\u2019s defenders.\u00a0The event drew enthusiastic participation from schools across the length and breadth of the country, including regions traditionally considered remote, such as the Kashmir Valley<\/strong> and the northeastern states<\/strong>.
