    मेरे प्रिय अंकल जिन्होंने अपनी जान की बाजी लगाकर भारत पाक युद्ध 1971 में उल्लेखनीय योगदान दिया, अपनी जान की परवाह ना करते हुए चौकी पर कब्जा किया और फिर वीरगति को प्राप्त हो गए । उनके इस उल्लेखनीय योगदान को शत-शत प्रणाम। भगवान उनकी आत्मा को शांति दे। मैं गौरवान्वित महसूस कर रहा हूं कि मैं उस परिवार का सदस्य हूं।
    उन्होंने आर्मी में सिपाही के रूप में भर्ती हुए थे बाद में उन्होंने कमीशन प्राप्त किया और सेकंड लेफ्टिनेंट बने जब जब मैं शहीद हुए तो कैप्टन के पद पर तैनात थे जब उनके शरीर में में एक गोली लगी तो उनके साथियों ने कहा साहब वापस चले जाओ परंतु उन्होंने जान की परवाह न करते हुए पोस्ट पर डटे रहें तथा उनके शरीर में 4 गोलियां लगी और शहीद हो गए उन्होंने शादी भी नहीं की थी।
    राष्ट्रपति ने उनको मरणोपरांत वीरता पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया। परंतु सरकार ने हमारे परिवार को किसी भी प्रकार के सहायता नहीं दी, सरकार ने पेट्रोल पंप या गैस एजेंसी देने की पेशकश की थी परंतु यह पत्र हमें बहुत दिनों बाद में मिला। जब हम उस पत्र को लेकर अधिकारियों से मिले तो उन्होंने कहा आप लेट हो गए।
    हमारी दादी जी अपने इस शहीद बेटे की मौत की खबर सुनकर हृदयघात से मृत्यु हो गई। मैं सरकार से जानना चाहता हूं की हमारे परिवार के साथ ऐसा भेदभाव क्यों किया गया। क्या पत्र लेट मिलने से शहीद व्यक्ति की कुर्बानी खत्म हो गई।
    सरकार के इस उदासीन रवैया ठीक नहीं था परंतु हमें गर्व है कि हम शाहिद परिवार के सदस्य है उनके त्याग के कारण कि आज हम स्वतंत्र भारत में चैन की सांस ले रहे ऐसे महान आत्मा को मेरा शत-शत प्रणाम है। अभी हाल ही में अपने पैतृक गांव वकनयार पोस्ट ऑफिस भटेड जिला हमीरपुर हिमाचल प्रदेश में माननीय पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने एक समारक बनाने के लिए आर्थिक मदद दी। मैं उनका अपने परिवार की ओर से उनको धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूं। लगभग 50 वर्ष लग गए इस स्मारक को बनाने में और वह राशि भी पूरी नहीं दी गई हम सब परिवार सदस्यों ने अपने निजी राशि से इस स्मारक को 2018 संपन्न किया।
