Honourpoint (https://honourpoint.in/) is India’s unique platform to honour, appreciate and remember the spirited and gallant sons and daughters of India who had the distinction of serving the country in “military uniform”, and are no longer with us. It is an endeavour to ensure that supreme sacrifices of our soldiers and their families do not fade away and are given their rightful place in our nation’s collective consciousness. Honourpoint also serves as a personalized shrine for military families, offering a space to connect, commemorate, and inspire current as well as future generations.
Besides honouring war heroes, who defended the country at the cost of their lives and gave it all for our tomorrow, Honourpoint also attempts to acknowledge the great service of every Indian who had ever worn the “ military uniform” and having completed his/her journey of life has left us forever.
Honourpoint portal is operated by Honourpoint Foundation– a registered trust with Govt of India approval under Income Tax Act 1961 (Section 12A and 80G) and Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 2010 (FCRA Registration No. 094421873).
We believe that India, as a nation, owes a debt of gratitude to its legion of soldiers who have preserved the nation’s territorial integrity since independence, through their blood and sweat, and guarded against forces inimical to its geopolitical interests. These soldiers deserve their rightful place in our nation’s history, and their contributions need to be collated and preserved for future generations to learn about and be inspired by.
Honourpoint is an attempt to create a comprehensive and expandable national repository of information about all the fallen soldiers of our Armed Forces since 1947, who lived by upholding the pride of the Indian military uniform and made the supreme sacrifice in preserving the honour of our Tricolor.
We recognize the daunting task of bringing the inspirational stories of our fallen soldiers to the forefront of national consciousness. However, we are committed to this mission and determined to honour their sacrifices appropriately. We strongly believe that these stories have the power to ignite a sense of patriotism in all citizens. By connecting all Indians with this cause, we aim to: (a) Create a comprehensive national database of all fallen soldiers since 1947. (b) Raise awareness about the sacrifices made by these heroes and their families. (c) Collaborate with community organizations and individuals nationwide to support the well-being of fallen soldiers’ families.
