Captain Sardara Singh Kheri was from Village Kheri, District Ropar, Punjab. He was my Great Grandfather’s elder brother on my Mother’s side. He died during 1st India-Pak war of 1948 due to an artillery shell explosion at their post. His Younger Brother i.e. my Great Grandfather Captain Sudharshan Singh also served in the Indian Army. Their is also a school named after Captain Sardara Singh in his village. His kids now live in Canada and USA
