Major J S Malik was the company commander of the C Coy of 8th Battalion of the Rajputana Rifles Regiment. He was captured in Tangdhar during the 1971 war & was declared missing in action initially. The exact citation of his heroics can be obtained from 8 RAJRIF.
The phone number of the 2IC is +918837041629. I have informed him that he may receive a query regarding this from your end.
