Sep Gonok Chandra Ray hailed from the Pakriguri village in the Baksa district of Assam. He joined the army after completing his school education and was inducted into the 4th Battalion of the Assam Regiment.
Indo - Pak War : Dec 1971
During Dec 1971, Sep Gonok Chandra Ray was serving with 4 Assam Battalion that was deployed in Punjab in the western front. In one of the operations during the war, he was martyred on 07 Dec 1971.
Sep Gonok Chandra Ray is survived by his wife Smt Kiran Bala Ray.
