Rajasthan : Mar 2018

On March 25, 2018, a significant event was organised at Safragwar village in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan to felicitate the families of martyrs from the region. The event was conducted in association with the Lt Kiran Shekhawat Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting the families of fallen soldiers and fostering community involvement. Notably, the foundation is run by the family of Lt Kiran Shekhawat, the first Indian woman naval officer to die in harness in 2015, symbolising its deep commitment to honouring the sacrifices of India’s armed forces personnel.

The function provided a heartfelt platform to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation, while also recognising the resilience, courage, and unwavering strength of their families. By celebrating the immense sacrifices made by these heroes, the event sought to strengthen the connection between the community and the armed forces, ensuring that the legacy of the martyrs remains alive in the hearts and minds of the people.

The association with the Lt Kiran Shekhawat Foundation further underscored the importance of honouring martyrs’ families and offering them the support, solidarity, and recognition they rightfully deserve. The event stood as a poignant reminder of the collective responsibility to preserve the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s security and to express the nation’s gratitude for their selfless service.
