Marathon@Chamoli – 2025

On 19th May 2025, Honourpoint Foundation, in collaboration with Veer Shaheed Anusuya Prasad Mahila Samiti, successfully organized Marathon–2025—a half-marathon event conducted amidst the tranquil landscapes of Chamoli, Uttarakhand. The event was envisioned as a heartfelt tribute on the occasion of the 72nd birth anniversary of Veer Shaheed Sepoy Anusuya Prasad, Maha Vir Chakra awardee, a valiant soldier from the region who made the supreme sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

This commemorative event not only honoured the memory of a courageous son of the soil but also became a significant occasion to recognize and express gratitude to the families of numerous fallen soldiers from the Chamoli district, who were respectfully felicitated during the ceremony.

The co-organizing body, Veer Shaheed Anusuya Prasad Mahila Samiti, is a registered society comprising women committed to upholding the legacy of Sep Anusuya Prasad. The Samiti undertakes various initiatives to foster patriotism, promote community development, and empower women in the remote hilly regions of Uttarakhand. Their efforts span across social awareness, livelihood training, and family welfare programs that aim to uplift and strengthen the local communities.

Honourpoint Foundation was honoured to associate with this meaningful initiative that deeply resonates with its core mission—to preserve the memory of our bravehearts and support the families they leave behind. The event not only fostered a sense of unity and remembrance among the local populace but also served as a powerful reminder to the younger generation about the values of sacrifice, duty, and national pride.
