2018 at 11:46 amThank you for setting up this memorial online. This was my uncle who passed away before I was born. His pet name was “Peddy”. He was a bachlelor, who was supposed to get married after the war was over. His parents and brothers are all gone now. Some of his nephews and nieces are settled in Nagpur and US. Please provide further information if you have on him. His mother Smt. Shalini Pedgaonkar( my grandmother) was from Nagpur. He was born in Ramtek or Hinghanghat where my grandfather, Ramchandra Pedgaonkar was a postmaster.
What we know is that he died in a mine/bomb blast. He was in artillary unit and was on a mission to capture an enemy outpost.
