Captain Nitin Gautam

Captain Nitin Gautam was born on 05 August 1987 to Rameshwar Gauttam and Suman Gauttam in Raura sector in Bilaspur District, Himachal Pradesh. Captain Nitin Gautam was Commissioned into the 9 Garhwal Rifles in 2010 after having undergone training at the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

 

Captain Nitin Gautam was deployed in ‘Ghatak Platoon’ at the Drass Sector in J&K during Operation Rakshak. He died of a cardiac arrest while on active operational duty with his ‘Ghatak Platoon’ at the Drass Sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
