Gunner Prodyut Mondal
Gunner Prodyut Mondal born on 25 Jun 1984 was hailed from Bhalkundi village in Bangana of Murshidabad district in West Bengal. Son of late Shri Bimal Kumar Mondal primary school teacher who used to crate burning love for the mother land to all children.Gnr.Prodyut Mondal did his primary education in his village school.After completing his Higher Secondary he got selected to join the Indian army on 31st Jan 2004. He was recruited into 51 RR, an elite regiment of Indian army known for its dare devil operations.
On 6th Aug,in the year of 2009 he was deployed in the Bandipur district of J&K for a special operation. He fought bravely like a Hero and got injured Gun shot in lower abdomen and breathed his last.He had served Indian army nearly 5years.He will ever be remembered to the nation for his valiant deed by his name or rank.
Gnr.Prodyut Mondal was a valiant and commited soldier who always ready to sacrifice his life to protect his mother land. Gnr Prodyut Mondal is survived by his proud mother Jayanti Mondal,elder brother Dhiraj Mondal &his wife Smt Shila Mondal.He had also left loads of love for his two niece Neha &Paromita.
