      Officer was posted with 24 Assam Rifles on deputation in Nagaland. On 15 Aug an ambush was laid by NSCN while the officer was returning back from a village after Independence Day celebration.
      Officer was caught in the ambush and laid down his life while fighting against the cadres of NSCN.
